AB In the following work, the evolution of objective dismissal in Spain canbe seen. This evolution is analysed from its appearance in 1931 to itscurrent regulation in ther Workers’ Statute Law.Subsequently, an analysis is made of the concept of objective dismissaland a study is made of its regulation, making special reference to thecauses for which it can be carried out and the interpretation that hasbeen made of each of them by doctrine and case law. Likewise, theformal requirements necessary for objective dismissal to be carried outare analysed in depth.Once the above points have been analysed, a controversial issue ofspecial interest is addressed, namely the judicial qualification ofobjective dismissal, that is tos say, nullity, validity and unfairness,analysing each of these assumptions and their legal consequences.Finally, a mention is made of the proposal for the elaboration of aLabout Statute fot the 21st century that has been formulated by theprogressive government in Spain, assessing the changes taht may affectobjective dismissal.
