The separation of powers has now been the result of important legislative work that has triggered the legalization and constitutionalization of the judiciary. The aim of this paper is to analyze the Spanish Constitutions from Cadiz in 1812 to the Spanish Constitutions in force in 1978, in the field strictly linked to the judiciary, since it has been and institution that has been reflected in each of the constitutional texts. For this reason, this job covers the regulation of this power in the constitutional sphere and the legislations issued in the aforementioned periods that directly or indirectly affected the Administration of Justice.Similarly, the work is concluded with the comparison of our judicial system, with the judicial system that is applicable in the US, to assess the existing differences or similarities.
