K1 Human computer interaction K1 Interactive systems K1 User centered design K1 User Experience K1 User interfaces AB Emotions are present and influence the learningprocess. One of the current challenges is how to get the emotionsexperienced by learners. Numerous mechanisms have beendeveloped for this purpose. These mechanisms assess a numberof basic emotions provided by the literature. A Virtual LearningEnvironment (VLE), on the other hand, is composed of severalfunctionalities, in which not all emotions experienced by learnersare always involved. This article presents a study conducted withexperts in affective technologies and education, with the aim ofobtaining the emotions that students may feel when using each ofthe functionalities of a VLE. The study counted with theparticipation of experts from several Latin American countriesand concluded with a list of emotions associated with thefunctionalities of the VLE. The results obtained will allow thedesign of future mechanisms for the evaluation of emotions inVLEs, reducing the generic list used in the literature to only thoseemotions specific to each VLE component.
