However, teacher training curriculaindicates a significant gap in this area. The objective of thisstudy is to carry out a systematic review of scientific articlespublished between 2011 and 2020 that analyze the digitalteaching competence of pre-service teachers who are mainlystudying in Spanish universities. The reviewed studies showthat there is a great heterogeneity of theoretical frameworksand instruments. Pre-service teachers point out that they havecertain digital skills, but lack pedagogical skills to digitallyenrich the teaching-learning processes. These aspects implychallenges in research, in educational policy and in teachertraining curriculum development.
