AB This article aims to analyze and understand theICT based communication of Galician preteens; theirknowledge and attitudes in the area of Communication andCollaboration of Digital Competence (DC), especially inrelation to interaction, netiquette and digital identity. Forthis, a mixed methodology is used ‒multiple case study andDC evaluation‒ taking the DIGCOMP model as a reference.The results show that there are competence gaps, difficulty interms of transferring learnings between contexts, genderdifferences in habits and capacities and the important role ofthe family in the whole process.
