AB The study analyzes some shared activities by University students including thegeneration of their parents and grandparents with the objective of exploring thedifferences between “intact families” and “divorced families”, taking into account thesociodemographic data of the grandparents and their involvement in family matters. Italso analyzes the influence of divorce on the resilience of the grandchildren. For theanalysis of the data they applied factorial analyzes, ANOVAS and Contingency tables.The results show a grater interaction with the maternal grandmother, independent ofwhether the family is divorced, whist in maternal grandfather and paternal grandmothersthe intergenerational relationship is affected, primarily communication, after rupture. Infamily matters, it is the grandmothers who take on more prominence, being differencesin them after the divorce. As for the resilient factor is perceived, more support is byfriends and others in intact families.Finally, we conclude that the divorce continues to have repercussions in the interactionbetween the grandparents and main family members.
