AB In the work presented below, we have approached a study on the official curriculum of anew subject for 4th ESO, which is freely configurable in the Autonomous Communityof the Canary Islands. The aim of this work is deepen the curriculum to perform acritical analysis of each and every one of its sections, placing special emphasis oncontent, historiographic procedures, as well as values and attitudes. Another interestingelement is the use of heritage as a fundamental axis of teaching learning of the subject.
