It is essential to pave the way to some methods whichare able to recognize specifically those species, being vital as they are to determine thehealth status of the cells in the organisms. And low cost procedures are compulsory.Fluorescent sensors allow to detect compounds without interfering in the cellularprocesses. This work focused on two biomarkers with a great influence in human health:H2S and hydrazine. Two sensors have being synthetized in the lab, which becomefluorescent upon activation by the above-mentioned compounds. Their hypothetical usein cells have been also evaluated. By testing the H2S sensor, it was clear that the actualphotochemical process was different from what was expected, although it also drove to afluorescent output. Otherwise, the hydrazine sensor undergoes the expected chemicaltransformation, although it will be necessary to implement some changes on its structurein order to adapt it for an optimal use in biological systems.
