Estudio clínico y evolutivo de la anorexia nerviosa

1996Abstract
La anorexia nerviosa es una enfermedad que forma parte de los trastornos del comportamiento alimentario. Se hace una descripción socio-demográfica, clínica y evolutiva de un grupo de 37 pacientes diagnosticadas de anorexia nerviosa según los criterios CIE-9 DSM-III-R Feighner. Las pacientes fueron tratadas durante cinco años en el Departamento de Psiquiatría del Hospital Universitario de Canarias, valoradas mediante exploración psicopatológica, física, analítica, EAT-40 y EDI. Se produjo la remisión total o parcial de síntomas psicopatológico y físicos de forma estadísticamente significativa después de la aplicación del tratamiento psicoterapéutico y farmacológico. En este grupo no es frecuente la comorbilidad orgánica o psíquica previas a la anorexia nerviosa, es frecuente la presencia de trastornos afectivos en familiares de primer rango. Se estima conveniente la inclusión de psicoterapias en el tratamiento global de las pacientes anoréxicas.
