Gilbert Hottois y los comités de ética: ¿una apuesta insostenible?

Abstract

La gestión tecnológica de la incertidumbre y la complejidad está en la base de la confrontación entre la ciencia y la religión, pero, también, en la posible apertura de un debate civil, plural y democrático que impida caer bien en el exclusivismo científico, bien en el paternalismo moral. El reciente libro de Gilbert Hottois constituye, quizá, la apuesta más firme por este modelo. Mi objetivo es examinar las consecuencias ético-ideológicas implicadas en su propuesta

«Gilbert Hottois and the ethics committees: an untenable gamble?». The technological management of the uncertainty and the complexity is in the base of the confrontation between the science and the religion, but, also, in the possible opening of a civil, plural and democratic debate that prevents from falling down well in the scientific exclusivism, well in the moral paternalism. Gilbert Hottois’s recent book is, probably, the firmest bet for this model. My aim is to examine their ethical-ideological consequences.
