La ordenación urbanística entre fronteras

Abstract

La dispersión urbanística extensiva es uno de los problemas que se están presentando cada vez más en ciudades de todo el mundo. El conocimiento y por lo tanto la aplicación de la ordenación del territorio es un método reciente. Hace unos 60, 50 años atrás aproximadamente no se construía ni se planeaba de manera coherente, los núcleos consolidados se formaban en función a cubrir las necesidades que iban surgiendo, y así es como se han conformado esos núcleos que nos da el escenario de hoy en día. Las zonas o áreas más alejadas del centro de la ciudad tras dicha evolución se han ido quedando al margen de la ordenación. Los suelos rústicos dedicados a la agricultura (cada vez más abandonada), se están quedando sin usos definidos, y en ellos ha ido creciendo las edificaciones dispersas. Nuestro propósito es analizar los modelos de crecimiento urbanístico en un área fronteriza de tres municipios, El Rosario, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, San Cristóbal de La Laguna. Su evolución es dispar y heterogénea. El diagnóstico del espacio diseminado y su relación con el planeamiento municipal permitirá proponer alternativas de ordenación.

Extensive urban sprawl is one of the problems that are occurring increasingly in cities around the world. Knowledge and therefore the implementation of spatial planning is a recent method. Our purpose is to analyze models of urban growth in a border area of three municipalities, El Rosario, Santa Cruz, San Cristobal de La Laguna. His progress is uneven and heterogeneous. The diagnosis of disseminated space and its relationship with the municipal planning permit to propose management alternatives.
