The main aim of this project is to demonstrate the knowledge acquired
during the studies of the bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, through
the writing of, not just a technical but an executable project. In this document it is
intended to apply the Technical Industrial Engineering’s abilities and to prove the
skills needed for that, such as performing measurements and calculations, the
gathering of data and its analysis in order to make appropriate decisions, the
creation of blueprints, and the use of the proper normative and regulations.
The specific purpose of this project, called “ESTUDIO Y MEJORA DE LA
SEGREGACIÓN DE PURGAS EN EL PUERTO LA HONDURA DE CEPSA
REFINERÍA TENERIFE”, is the study, design and improvement of the actual
purge system in the harbour facilities of CEPSA, which consists in adding two
new vessels, and their required installation, to segregate even more the products.
