In this Final Degree Project, an investigation was carried out on the impact of divorce on the
school performance of children in the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (3 to 6 years).
So, the main objective of this project is how educators try to gain an important level of trust in
children so that they can share with us the feelings and/or situations of abuse, intimidation,
hatred, abandonment and self-incrimination, among others. This study was carried out in the
"CEIP Fernando III el Santo" School Center of the municipality of La Laguna and in which 47
infants and 70 parents participated.
After analyzing the results of the surveys and questionnaires, used for the investigation, it has
been seen that divorce does not affect all infants in the same way; specified in the manner in
which the parents treat it in their homes. The conclusions of this project theme is dedicated to
all people who have direct contact with children and not just separated parents or in the process
of separation, in order to help understand the importance of this situation and its consequences,
both on a personal and academic level, in children.
