2019Abstract
The objective of this project has been the realization of a simulation of the highway TF-5, located
on the island of Tenerife, which serves as the basis for futher developments. In addition, it has
proceeded to analyse the behaviour of the circulation of the same, as well as to look for a solution
that allows to improve its traffic, minimizing the social, economic and natural impact of the proposed
solution.
As proof of the development of this simulation, the solution proposed at work is the inclusion of
intelligent traffic lights at the entrances of the highway, as well as in the low-speed lanes of the
highway. This generates two situations: the current model, which is a reliable simulation of the state
of the highway today, without traffic lights; and a simulation containing the named traffic lights.
Therefore, the results of these simulations have been established, optimized and compared, in order
to determine the effectiveness of the proposed solution.
This work includes as an appendix the solution to errors of the “Road Traffic Library” belonging
to the AnyLogic tool, because the library does not have documentation associated with them.
