Del estigma comunitario al prestigio social: Transformaciones socioculturales de un grupo de mujeres Kanyaleng en Kartong, Gambia.

Abstract

Este trabajo de investigación analiza las transformaciones socioculturales de un grupo de mujeres Kanyaleng con dificultades de fertilidad. En un contexto donde el papel principal es alcanzar la maternidad, a fin de conseguir el valor cultural de ser mujer en el África Occidental. A través de tres relatos de vida intergeneracionales, describiremos que es ser Kanyaleng, la identidad, el estigma y las transformaciones en la estructura social de Kartong.

This research analyzes the sociocultural transformations of a group of Kanyaleng women with fertility difficulties. In a context where the main role is to achieve motherhood, in order to achieve the cultural value of being a woman in West Africa. Through three intergenerational life stories, we will describe what it is to be Kanyaleng, the identity, the stigma and the transformations in the social structure of Kartong.
