La dialéctica de lo gravitante y lo aéreo ha sido una constante antropológica y no ha dejado de proyectarse en poetas como Lucrecio, Ovidio, Dante, Leopardi, que han tratado de quitar peso al lenguaje. En el caso de Juan Ramón Jiménez, tal vez sea este contraste entre peso y ligereza, entre ideal y realidad, una de las claves que mejor unifican su escritura, abierta siempre hacia lo trascendente.
