Comorbilidad entre dislexia y TDAH: revisión teórica
Date
2021Abstract
This work aims to carry out a theoretical review of the existing knowledge so far
on the comorbidity of the specific learning disorder in reading (dyslexia) and attention
deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity (ADHD). For this reason, the different
explanatory hypotheses are collected since there is controversy about the origin of these
disorders jointly. Through the review of different studies it has been observed that the
hypothesis with the greatest empirical support at present is the hypothesis of the lexical
subtype, based on the fact that a third factor is what causes these disorders. However,
there is also another explanatory line that also has a series of studies that support it. This
is the hypothesis of phenocopy, one of the disorders causes the other. All these
hypotheses must be taken into account to increase the knowledge of this comorbid
disorder and to improve the intervention and be able to make the appropriate curricular
adaptations.
