People with disabilities are part of one of the groups in exclusion in today's society and
Occupational Centers are one of the most important supports for their growth. That is
why the main objective of this research is to know what the changes have been caused by
the COVID-19 pandemic in the services offered in the Occupational Centers on the island
of Tenerife from the management point and their professionals.
In order to meet this objective, a descriptive, cross-sectional and qualitative
research has been carried out where the results have shown that the service offered in the
Centers has been modified by the COVID-19 pandemic. On the other hand, the need to
update the Occupational Center model and its organizational structure is perceived in
order to improve the service provided quality and life quality of people with disabilities.
In addition, it is necessary to continue fighting from Social Work and the services that
work with this group in order to remove the barriers they have to face in their lives.
