Grado de conocimiento sobre primeros auxilios del personal docente en Educación Primaria.

Abstract

Este trabajo de fin de grado, tiene como objetivo el estudio del nivel de conocimiento que tiene el personal docente de diferentes centros educativos del sur de la isla de Tenerife, sobre los primeros auxilios. Los colegios son lugares en los que los niños y las niñas pasan mucho tiempo y en los que se frecuentan actuaciones de emergencias en las que hay que saber cómo actuar (Gabari y Sáenz 2018), puesto que como en la mayoría de centros no existe la figura de enfermero/a escolar, es el personal docente el que tiene que adquirir dicho rol y con ello tener conocimientos sobre estas técnicas para saber actuar (Chinea, 2019). Para ello, se llevará a cabo una investigación a través de un cuestionario, que se pasará a diferentes centros escolares con la finalidad de observar lo que sabe el personal docente participante, los cuales fueron finalmente 37 maestros y maestras. Los datos obtenidos de esta muestra, demostraron que el 56,7% no posee buenos conocimientos sobre los primeros auxilios y por tanto no sabrían actuar de manera adecuada ante determinadas situaciones, pudiendo incluso perjudicar al alumnado. Esto refleja la necesidad de fomentar la formación del personal docente sobre dichas técnicas.

This end-of-degree project aims to study the level of knowledge that the teaching staff of different educational centers in the south of the island of Tenerife have on first aid. Schools are places where boys and girls spend a lot of time and where emergency actions are frequented in which they must know how to act (Gabari and Sáenz 2018), since as in most centres there is no nurse/school teacher, It is the teaching staff who have to acquire this role and with it have knowledge about these techniques to know how to act (Chinea, 2019). To this end, an investigation will be carried out through a questionnaire, which will be passed to different schools in order to observe what the participating teaching staff knows, which finally were 37 teachers. The data obtained from this sample showed that 56.7% do not have good knowledge about first aid and therefore do not know how to act adequately in certain situations, and may even harm students. This reflects the need to encourage teacher training in these techniques.
