Situación del migrante irregular en Canarias y acercamiento de los 'MENA' a la educación.

Abstract

Este documento consta de una revisión bibliográfica apoyada principalmente por cuatro libros en concreto y abarca la migración en Canarias, centrándose a lo largo del documento en el joven migrante, que se irá introduciendo a través de los antecedentes o en las circunstancias en las que se han desenvuelto la migración irregular que recibe las Islas Canarias y como son sus condiciones tanto al salir del lugar de procedencia como al llegar al lugar de destino mencionándose, además, cuáles son los motivos de los migrantes para querer o tener que realizar tan largo viaje. Por otra parte, en el documento se refleja la percepción que tiene la población autóctona sobre la llegada de los migrantes y de cómo estos llevan a cabo su nueva vida en las islas, junto a saber si la evolución que ha tenido esta percepción con el paso de los años se considera notable. Finalmente se muestra el núcleo del presente trabajo que se fundamenta en cómo es la situación educativa de los Menores Extranjeros No Acompañados en Tenerife y de cómo se puede ayudar a dicha situación mediante una elaboración de una propuesta de mejora educativa desde un punto de vista pedagógico, basada en la integración y en la inclusión de los MENA en la escuela, y que está sustentada por un incipiente trabajo de campo y por diversos autores, profesores y activistas.

This document consists of a bibliographic review supported by four books mainly and covers migration in the Canary Islands, focusing throughout the document on the migrant, who will be introduced through the antecedents or in the circumstances in which the migration that has occurred and how are their conditions both when leaving the place of origin and when arriving at the destination, mentioning, in addition, are the motives of the migrants for wanting or having to make such a long trip. On the other hand, the document reflects the perception that the native population has about the arrival of migrants and how they carry out their new life on the islands, together with knowing if the evolution that this perception has had over time of the years is considered remarkable. Finally, the core of this work is shown, which is based on the educational situation of Unaccompanied Foreign Minors in Tenerife and how this situation can be helped by developing a proposal for educational improvement from a pedagogical point of view. based on the integration and inclusion of the MENA in the school, and which is supported by an incipient field work and by various authors, teachers and activists.
