Abstract

This work shows the knowledge acquired throughout the boarding for the completion of the studies of Degree in Nautical and Maritime Transport. We will go deeper into the stowage system in a Damen 800 class vessel, specifically, the Samskip Endeavour vessel, of the Samskip shipping company, in a regular line that establishes a fundamental connection in the development and commercialization of Europe, linking the markets of Europe and Ireland on a weekly basis. In this work we will analyse in depth the methodology of stowage and lashing of containers, as well as the types and classes that exist. How the loading plans are made and interpreted with reference to the different ports of destination, refrigerated cargo and above all the difficulties that we can find when stowing dangerous goods and all the rules that we must abide by when loading them. The importance of stability, the types of stability that exist and the current criteria that ships must comply with before and during their voyages. In the development of this document we will be able to observe various documents and images of our own elaboration, which will facilitate the work and analysis of the entire loading and unloading process. On the other hand, we will analyse all the necessary documentation to carry out all the operations that concern us. We will introduce the Macs3 programme, which is a loading programme that will help us in all our operations. In this work we will go into Macs3, both in its function and the way it has to work in it.
