Breastfeeding is the ideal food for the newborn. Despite the benefits
breastfeeding has, the rates in our environment are low and one of the main causes of
breast-feeding abandonment is false hypogalactia.
There aren’t many studies of Educative Interventions focused in preventing this
problem. For this reason, we have proposed to carry this project out whose general
objetive is to explain the differences between false hypogalactia and hypogalactia, and
and prevent it from being a cause of breastfeeding abandonment.
Informing pregnant, their couples and their families we can get to reduce
breastfeeding abandonment due to causes like lack of breast milk, because in most
cases is the mother’s insecurity the main cause that leads to the abandonment.
For the project’s development we will carry four sessions out, with each group of
five moms that’s going to participate, framed in the childbirth preparation classes of the
health centers that will join to the project. All of the sessions will be online, in
videoconferencing platforms and and they will have a theoretical-practical model where
we are going to deal with issues associated to false hypogalactia.
The participants will be healthy pregnant that want to breastfeed their babies. At
the end of the project’s development we’ll have reached 75 moms. This little sample, will
allow us to evaluate the project’s efficiency and so extend it to a bigger sample in the
future.
