Aplicación de una Metodología de Proceso para la Práctica con la Producción Escrita en Inglés

Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Máster se centra en la implementación de una metodología de Proceso aplicada a la enseñanza de la producción escrita en inglés, con siete fases establecidas por los autores Brown y Lee para practicar con la destreza del Writing a partir de una situación de aprendizaje impartida a una clase de 4ºESO del IES Realejos. El objetivo es establecer si dicha metodología presenta beneficios en la enseñanza de esta destreza y cuáles son las dificultades derivadas del uso de este método. La implementación de la misma mostró beneficios como más oportunidades para que el alumno corrigiera errores y para que practicara la redacción de borradores, así como dificultades relacionadas con las limitaciones del horario lectivo. Sin embargo, estas limitaciones temporales se pueden reducir si se combina la práctica con otras destrezas del idioma y con más trabajo por parte del alumno, tanto cooperativo como autónomo.

This Final Master’s Project focuses on the implementation of a ProcessApproach applied to the practice with the Writing skill of English students by using seven stages defined by the authors Brown and Lee, which serve to practice written production through a lesson plan taught in a 4ºESO classroom in IES Realejos. The objective behind such a practice was to observe the improvements and benefits it brings to the practice with Writing as well as the difficulties that might hinder the appliance of the method in a real classroom. The actual practice with this lesson plan showed benefits such as more opportunities for the students to correct their mistakes and to create drafts, as well as difficulties related to the time constraints of a school’s schedule. However, these time limits can be reduced if the practice with different skills is combined with Writing, including also more work from the student, both through group and individual efforts.
