Actitudes de la sociedad hacia las personas que han pasado por un proceso de privación de libertad.

Abstract

El objetivo general de esta investigación es conocer las actitudes que tiene la sociedad sobre las personas que han pasado por un periodo de internamiento en prisión. Además de ver sí diferentes variables sociodemográficas como la edad, el sexo, la ideología política, influyen a la hora de tener actitudes positivas o negativas. También, otro de los objetivos es analizar si existen diferencias en las actitudes que se tienen sobre los reclusos adultos frente a los delincuentes jóvenes. En este estudio se ha trabajado con una muestra de 48 participantes siendo el 52,1% mujeres; para poder conocer dichas conductas se les pasó un cuestionario con la Escala de Actitudes hacia Prisioneros (ATP Scale), diseñada por Melvin y colaboradores (1985), así mismo esta escala se adaptó para poder conocer también las actitudes que se tienen sobre los menores infractores. A las conclusiones que se llegaron es que en general se tienen actitudes favorables independientemente de si son reclusos mayores o menores de edad, sin influir ninguna variable sociodemográfica.

The general objective of this research is to know the attitudes society has towards those who have gone through a period of internment in prison. In addition to seeing if different sociodemographic variables such as age, sex, political ideology, influence when it comes to having positive or negative attitudes. Also, another objective is to analyse if there are differences in the attitudes that are held about adult inmates compared to young delinquents. In this study we have worked with a sample of forty-eight participants, 52.1% of them women; to learn these behaviours, they were given a questionnaire with the Scale of Attitudes towards Prisoners (ATP Scale), designed by Melvin and collaborators (1985). Likewise, this scale was adapted to be able to also know the attitudes that are held about minor offenders. The conclusions reached are that, in general, there are favourable attitudes regardless of whether they are older or younger inmates, without the sociodemographic variables having any influence.
