alumnas adolescentes. Vocal moulting is a physiological process by which the voice of adolescents undergoes
notable changes, both in the male and female voice. This process takes place due to hormonal
transformations that occur during puberty, can have a variable duration and coincides in its
early years with Compulsory Secondary Education. During vocal moulting, the vocal cords of
young people lengthen and thicken, leading to significant changes in pitch, timbre and vocal
capacity. These changes can be disconcerting for adolescents, and in some cases can lead to
insecurities or self-esteem problems. In education, it is important to take these changes in
students' voices into account, especially in subjects where the voice is involved, such as music
in compulsory secondary education (ESO). Teachers must be prepared to adapt their activities
to the needs of students during this process of vocal change, and provide them with the
necessary resources and tools so that they can continue to develop their vocal skills and
maintain their vocal health in an appropriate manner. This paper will address the process of
vocal moulting in adolescents, analysing its causes, consequences and repercussions in the
educational field, as well as the strategies and techniques that, through gamification, can be
used to facilitate the process of adapting activities for these students during this stage of vocal
transition. In addition, a series of proposals and open guidelines will be presented so that
secondary school teachers can apply them or be inspired by them in order to approach vocal
performance with full confidence, with the peace of mind of doing so in an appropriate and
healthy way for their adolescent students
