Análisis económico-financiero del grupo El Corte Inglés

Abstract

El Corte Inglés es una de las empresas comerciales más populares de España. Este grupo cuya actividad principal a lo largo de su existencia ha sido el retail (venta de productos al consumidor final), ha ido diversificando su actividad a través de la creación de otras empresas destinadas a otras actividades. El objetivo de este trabajo será conocer la situación económica-financiera del grupo en el período correspondiente a los ejercicios de los años 2020, 2021 y 2022 con la finalidad de reflejar algunas de las consecuencias del Covid-19. Para ello, primero destacaremos la importancia del sector al que pertenece el grupo. Continuaremos comentando información relevante de la empresa, haciendo un repaso a sus más de 80 años de historia y explicando su estructura organizativa y accionarial. Para posteriormente realizar un análisis económico-financiero en el que se estudiarán tanto las cuentas anuales principales como los ratios financieros más relevantes

El Corte Inglés is one of the most popular commercial companies in Spain. This business group, whose main activity throughout its existence has been retail (selling products to the final consumer), has been diversifying its activity through the creation of other companies dedicated to other activities. The objective of this project will be to know the economic-financial situation of the business group during the period corresponding to the fiscal years 2020, 2021 and 2022. This period will reflect some of the consequences of Covid-19. For this purpose, we will first talk about the importance of the sector to which the group belongs. Then, we will discuss relevant information about the company, reviewing its more than 80 years of history and explaining its organizational and ownership structure. Subsequently, we will make an economic-financial analysis in which we will study the main annual accounts and the most relevant financial ratios
