Bullying y Mediación Escolar

Abstract

El acoso escolar es una de las principales problemáticas en la comunidad educativa existentes en la actualidad. La prevención e intervención a través de la aplicación de programas es posible y eficaz. La relación entre la mediación escolar y el bullying es un tema de interés poco analizado, se aprecia una escasa bibliografía pese ser una realidad social atenta contra la dignidad e integridad de los más jóvenes. Por ello, se ha procedido a realizar esta revisión bibliográfica que tiene como objetivos evaluar la opinión de los/as estudiantes sobre la efectividad de la técnica de la mediación escolar para resolver conflictos en casos de bullying, así como investigar el impacto de la mediación escolar en la reducción de casos de bullying y la mejora del clima escolar. Para lograr dichos objetivos, se ha realizado una revisión de aquellas investigaciones existentes desde el año 2020 hasta la actualidad. Tras cribar los documentos se analizaron, en total, diez estudios, siendo estos los más recientes y los que más se adaptan a las necesidades de este Trabajo Fin de Máster. Algunos de los criterios de inclusión han sido 1) artículos que analicen la relación entre el bullying y la mediación; 2) texto completo disponible en abierto (open access); 3) estudios escritos en inglés o español; entre otros. Por su parte, el sistema PRISMA se ha utilizado como guía para la evaluación y el análisis de los estudios seleccionados. Es importante destacar que la mayoría de los estudios revisados indican que la mediación escolar es una herramienta crucial para abordar situaciones conflictivas y violentas en los entornos escolares

Bullying is one of the main problems in the educational community today. Prevention and intervention through the implementation of programs is possible and effective. The relationship between school mediation and bullying is a topic of interest that has been little analyzed; there is little bibliography despite the fact that it is a social reality that threatens the dignity and integrity of young people. Therefore, this literature review has been carried out with the aim of evaluating the opinion of students on the effectiveness of the technique of school mediation to resolve conflicts in cases of bullying, as well as to investigate the impact of school mediation in reducing cases of bullying and improving the school climate. To achieve these objectives, a review of existing research from 2020 to the present was carried out. After screening the documents, a total of ten studies were analyzed, these being the most recent and the ones that best fit the needs of this Master's Thesis. Some of the inclusion criteria were 1) articles analyzing the relationship between bullying and mediation; 2) full text available in open access; 3) studies written in English or Spanish; among others. The PRISMA system was used as a guide for the evaluation and analysis of the selected studies. It is important to highlight that most of the studies reviewed indicate that school mediation is a crucial tool for addressing conflict and violent situations in school settings.
