Conocimientos y percepción de los y las jóvenes sobre la educación afectivo-sexual en el entorno familiar

Abstract

En este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se lleva a cabo una investigación sobre la problemática en la escasa educación sexual transmitida en el entorno familiar. Esta falta de información y comunicación afecta negativamente en la vida adulta. En dicha investigación se ha analizado cómo esta desinformación ha influido en sus vidas actuales y en las experiencias vividas de los y las jóvenes de entre 20 y 30 años residentes en la Isla de Tenerife que han participado en este estudio. Además de centrarse en analizar la percepción de los/as participantes sobre qué referentes del entorno familiar se han involucrado más en el intercambio de información sobre sexualidad, se investigará quiénes han proporcionado orientación y apoyo durante su desarrollo y cómo lo han percibido. Finalmente, se presentarán datos sobre referencias que han recibido los y las jóvenes desde el entorno familiar tanto sobre métodos anticonceptivos como de enfermedades de transmisión sexual (ETS), analizando si poseen los conocimientos suficientes y las consecuencias negativas en su salud sexual. El objetivo principal de esta investigación es examinar la información sobre sexualidad recibida por jóvenes de 20 a 30 años en Tenerife. Para ello, se realizó una encuesta a través de "Google Forms", distribuida por redes sociales y mensajería instantánea, alcanzando a 130 jóvenes. Los resultados muestran que muchos jóvenes no recibieron una educación sexual adecuada en su entorno familiar, lo cual ha afectado sus vidas. Este estudio subraya la necesidad de mejorar la educación sexual familiar para el beneficio de futuras generaciones.

In this Final Degree Project an investigation is carried out on the problem of the scarce sexual education that is transmitted in the family environment. This lack of information and communication has a negative effect on adult life. This research has analyzed how this misinformation has influenced their current lives and the lived experiences of young people between 18 and 30 years old living on the island of Tenerife who have participated in this work. In addition to focusing on analyzing the respondents' perception of which family members have been most involved in the exchange of information on sexuality. We will investigate who has tried to provide some kind of guidance and support during its development and how they have perceived it. Finally, we will have data on references that young people have received from the family environment both on contraceptive methods and sexually transmitted diseases (STD), we have analyzed whether they have sufficient knowledge and the negative consequences on their sexual health. The main objective of this research is to examine the information on sexuality received by young people aged 20-30 years in Tenerife. For this purpose, a survey was conducted through "Google Forms", distributed through social networks and instant messaging, reaching 130 young people. The results show that many young people did not receive adequate sex education in their family environment, which has affected their lives. This study highlights the need to improve family sex education for the benefit of future generations.
