2019Abstract
Communication is the way to share information,
develop culture and interact in society. Computing technologies
together with Collaborative Systems have contributed more and
more to the communication accessibility of the people and in the
inclusive process. This research is an extension of the article
“iLibras as a Facilitator in the Effective Communication of the
Deaf: a Mobile Cooperative Tool” [1]. This research presents an
approach to support the communication of deaf people and also of
users of Libras by means of collaborative and mobile computing
tools. The approaches of the research method of the Design
Science Research (DSR), Interaction Design (ID), User Centered
Design (UCD) and Participatory Design (PD) are adopted.
Therefore, it was possible to explore knowledge to understand
better the users as well as to build computing resources to
facilitate the communication with the deaf.
