Impacto de las Normativas Internacionales (STCW) en la Formación Marítima Universitaria

Abstract

Esta investigación se origina en la urgencia de comprender y analizar el impacto de las normativas internacionales sobre la formación marítima en relación al Convenio STCW y sus modificaciones pertinentes. El prólogo de este estudio sitúa la relevancia de las regulaciones internacionales en la formación marítima como tema central; enfatizando la importancia crucial del Convenio STCW y su influencia fundamental en el sector naviero. La investigación se centra en analizar el Convenio STCW y su implementación en las escuelas de formación marítima y cómo ha influido en el progreso de la marina mercante. Estos objetivos reflejan la compleja realidad educativa del ámbito marítimo y la necesidad de adaptarse a las regulaciones que cambian constantemente. También se exploran aspectos clave como la evolución histórica del Convenio STCW, las normativas asociadas y su impactó en la formación marítima. La metodología utilizada se basó en enfoques teóricos para recopilar la mayor cantidad de datos posible; para lograrlo se llevaron a cabo investigaciones documentales referenciadas en la bibliografía, informes y bases de datos oficiales. Este estudio refleja un compromiso hacia la mejora constante de la formación marítima en conformidad con las normativas internacionales. Con esta investigación se busca sensibilizar a los profesionales del sector, y que los aspectos abordados y analizados contribuyan al continuo desarrollo de un sistema educativo marítimo eficiente y seguro para las futuras generaciones de profesionales del ámbito marítimo.

This research originates from the urgent need to understand and analyze the impact of international regulations on maritime education, particularly in relation to the STCW Convention and its relevant amendments. The preface of this study highlights the significance of international regulations in maritime education as a central theme, emphasizing the crucial importance of the STCW Convention and its fundamental influence on the shipping industry. The research focuses on analyzing the STCW Convention and its implementation in maritime training schools, as well as its impact on the progress of the merchant marine. These objectives reflect the complex educational reality of the maritime field and the necessity to adapt to constantly changing regulations. Key aspects such as the historical evolution of the STCW Convention, associated regulations, and their impact on maritime education are also explored. The methodology employed was based on theoretical approaches to gather as much data as possible; for this purpose, documentary research was conducted, referencing bibliographies, reports, and official databases. This study reflects a commitment to the continuous improvement of maritime education in accordance with international regulations. Through this research, the aim is to raise awareness among industry professionals, ensuring that the aspects addressed and analyzed contribute to the ongoing development of an efficient and safe maritime education system for future generations of maritime professionals
