Análisis metodológico de ítems de la batería BETA.

Abstract

La batería Beta es una prueba de evaluación de pacientes afásicos basada en los modelos de procesamiento lingüístico. En este trabajo se realiza un análisis metodológico de sus ítems, con el objetivo de determinar si existe una relación entre el índice de dificultad y los procesos que intervienen en la realización de cada tarea de la batería, si hay relación entre el número de procesos necesarios para la realización de una tarea con su dificultad, si se cumple que las tareas que implican el acceso al significado son más difíciles, si las tareas que se pueden realizar por más de una vía son más fáciles y determinar qué ítems de cada tarea son menos homogéneos y pueden ser retirados. La batería fue administrada a una muestra de entre 60 y 62 sujetos, tanto hombres como mujeres. Tras los análisis, se llegó a la conclusión de que existe relación entre la dificultad de las tareas y los procesos que intervienen en ellas, cuanto más procesos se necesitan para su resolución mayor dificultad implica la tarea, las tareas que incluyen el acceso al significado son más difíciles y las que se pueden realizar por más de una vía son más fáciles.

The Beta Battery is an aphasic patient evaluation test based on linguistic processing models. In this work, a methodological analysis of their items is carried out, in order to determine if there is a relation between the difficulty index and the processes involved in the execution of each task, if there is a relation between the number of processes necessary for the realization of a task with its difficulty, if the tasks involving the access to the meaning are more difficult, if the tasks that can be performed by more than one way are easier and determine which items of each task are less homogeneous and can be withdrawn. The battery was administered to a sample of between 60 and 62 subjects, both men and women. After the analysis, it was concluded that there is a relationship between the difficulty of the tasks and the processes involved in them, the more processes are needed for their resolution, the more difficulty is the task, the tasks that include access to meaning are more difficult and those that can be done by more than one route are easier.
