Proyecto de acogida a Menores Extranjeros No Acompañados (MENAS)

Abstract

The increase of the students of diverse cultures in the classrooms has meant a change in the lines of work of the educational centers in the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, trying from an inclusive approach to adapt and respond to this reality. A challenge that adds to this attempt to respond to this group of educatives is the incorporation of the so called "Unaccompanied Foreign Minors" (MENAS), who are often in a situation of important risk For their greater personal and social vulnerability from the educational point of view. In this line, the priority interest of this Master's End Work is based on the elaboration of a Project of Reception directed to the MENAS, in a specific educational center, tried to offer a proposal of action from the perspective of the interculturality, to through the Proyecto de Acogida de MENAS en el I.E.S. Viera y Clavijo Página 3 participation of the students and teachers, and under the coordination of the orientation department. At the same time, we consider it essential that the activities developed and directed to the students have their basis in cooperative learning, and the proposal of work as a whole in the collaborative approach. In short, it is a question of responding to a demand from the teaching staff and from the orientation department in terms of offering guidelines for the present and future incorporation of the MENAS into the educational center.

El incremento del alumnado de diversas culturas en las aulas, ha supuesto un cambio en las líneas de trabajo de los centros educativos en la Comunidad Autónoma de Canarias, intentando desde un enfoque inclusivo adaptarse y dar respuesta a esta realidad. Un reto que se suma a este intento de responder educativamente a este colectivo, es la incorporación de los alumnos denominados “Menores Extranjeros No Acompañados” (MENAS), quienes en numerosas ocasiones se encuentran en una situación de riesgo importante por su mayor vulnerabilidad personal y social desde el punto de vista educativo. En esta línea, el interés prioritario de este Trabajo Fin de Master se basa en la elaboración de un Proyecto de Acogida dirigido a los MENAS, en un centro educativo concreto, intentado ofrecer una propuesta de actuación desde la perspectiva de la interculturalidad, a través de la participación del alumnado y profesorado, y bajo la coordinación del departamento de orientación. A su vez, consideramos esencial que las actividades desarrolladas y dirigidas al alumnado tengan su fundamentación en el aprendizaje cooperativo, y la propuesta de trabajo en su conjunto en el enfoque colaborativo. En definitiva, se trata de responder a una demanda del profesorado y del departamento de orientación en cuanto a ofrecer pautas de actuación ante la incorporación presente y futura de los MENAS al centro educativo.
