Psicop. en Contextos de Educación Formal y no Formal K1 Inteligencia emocional K1 Profesores K1 Enseñanza primaria AB The main purpose of this research is to know, under the opinion/vision of theelementary students of the CEIP Princesa Tejina, the profile wich they describe to agood teacher. This is intended to achieve that students show the characteristics, skillsand abilities which the teachers should have and to discover, in addition, if theemotional competence of teachers is highly valued in the description. The participantsof this study were teachers of Primary Education of the school, students of 4th, 5th and6th grade of Primary and a group of mothers belonging to the school AMPA. The singlecase study has been used as a method, opting for a mixed methodology; applying 5qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques and instruments. For the analysisof the qualitative data the Atlas.ti Software was chosen and for the quantitativeinformation the SPSS 23. With regard to the obtained results, the importance and thevalue of working the emotions in the classroom is discovered, and the need for theteacher is emotionally competent to educate from and with the heart. Most of thecharacteristics that defined the good teacher, the main evaluations towards them, as wellas the skills with which they should have to be described as ideal teachers have had todo, mainly, with their way of being, their concern for the students, their emotionalopenness, closeness, affection, good treatment, etc., inherent aspects of those peoplewho have intelligence and emotional competence.
