AB The right to exercise their autonomy, receiving a proper, informed consent is a rightof the patient who has been achieved after centuries of medical paternalism. The Núremberg'scode, arisen after the atrocities of the Nazi regime, and the Universal Declaration of HumanRights, supposed a great advance to achieve this aim.Cancer patients are vulnerable to suffer psychological alterations associated withtreatment with chemotherapy. Providing a better knowledge and undestanding of thistreatment can help them improve their quality of life.The informed consent of chemotherapy, in interactive video format, is a project thatemerged with the aim of helping to better understand its treatment to the oncohematologicalpatient, providing them with more visual and detailed information, accompanied byinteractive questions, in order to strengthen knowledge .This video was seen and valued by 16 patients of the S º of Hematología of theHUNSC, which already had received chemotherapy. The evaluation of these patients wasvery positive, recognizing that had helped them to understand their treatment and that hadunderstood it better than the assent informed in paper.The evaluation of the interactive questions was also positiveThese patients, recommend that other patients, who are going to get treatment for thefirst time, should see this video, to help them to understand better the chemotherapy.
