AB The aim of this study is to know the relationship between burnout and EmotionalLabor (EL) in employees of service sector (specifically in town hallsadministratives and pharmaceutics), as well as, to study the effect of gender andprofession caused in them. For this, an ex post facto research was carried out 3with a sample of 40 participants. The results show that there is a relationshipbetween burnout and EL. More specifically, we found that employees of thesegroups are emotionally exhausted, specially the town hall administratives.Results also show that this emotional exhaustion is explained by neutral emotionsand emotional dissonance; so it is recommended to work on these dimensions toreduce it. Other results to highlight are: the higher self-efficacy shown by men incontrast to women and the greater emotional dissonance presented by the townhall administrative women in front of the rest of the sample. These results turnthe town hall administrative women in the main foccus of an intervention.
