SVET was used to monitor the electrochemicalprocesses at painted steel immersed in either 10 mM Na2SO4 or 10 mM NaCl aqueoussolutions. The coated samples were investigated after a scratch was operated through thepolymer matrix down to the metal-substrate surface in order to simulate a defect across thecoating. SVET imaging probes that the electrochemical behaviour of the system is differentdepending on the electrolyte employed. Enhanced coating delamination originating from thedefect is observed when chloride ions are present in the environment YR 2010 FD 2010 LK http://riull.ull.es/xmlui/handle/915/19114 UL http://riull.ull.es/xmlui/handle/915/19114 LA en DS Repositorio institucional de la Universidad de La Laguna RD 10-may-2024
