AB The porpuse of this Project is to study and analyze the Structural Funds of the EuropeanUnion, with an especial mention to the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF),referring to its legal regulation, aplication, objectives and expectations. In additon, we willstudy the Programming Period of the European Funds 2021-2027 that will be carried out. Onthe other hand, we will study the funds that are applied in the Canary Islands due to itsOutermost Regions condition, recognized on the article 349 of the Treaty of the Funtioningof the European Union, which are those regions that due to their graphical location andnegative characteristics will opt for specific grants to deal with their special challenges. TheERDF must contribute to correct the main regional imbalances within the Union, whichhappen in this regiones due to their remoteness.
