AB The latest modification of the Código Técnico de la Edificación includes a new chapter on protection against radon in building’s interiors. This work consists of determining the usefulness of a terrestrial gamma radiation as a predictor method for areas of high radon potential inside buildings. Using the gamma radiation data obtained experimentally, a geostatistical interpolation map has been made through which, together with the interior radon data, it has served to locate risk areas of high radon concentrations in the peripheral area of the old town of La Laguna. This has been possible thanks to the methodology developed to establish a measurement method and indoor radon data.
