For this reason, the Organic Law for the effectiveequality of women and men of the year 2007 has managed to eliminatediscrimination in employment and occupation in those companieswhere their workers have suffered. This law obliged companies tocomply with the implementing rules in order to avoid sanctions,ensure equal treatment and opportunities between women and men incompanies and facilitate the reconciliation of personal, family andworking life. Equality plans seek to eliminate inequalities establishedin our society for centuries and is an important tool for achievinggender equality today.
