RT info:eu-repo/semantics/article T1 El punto de vista en Lord of the Flies A1 Nadal, MarĂa AB This paper has a twofold aim: on the one hand, it analyses the point ofview of Lord of the Flies following a narratological approach in order todemonstrate that the perspectives of both the protagonist, Ralph, and theofficer, though important, are far from being the only ones that form thepoint of view of the novel. On the other hand, the essay points out the thematic implications of thenovel's varied perspective, showing that it is the gradually increasing role ofRalph as a focalizer that brings about the reader's identification with theformer, and noting in addition that it is from Simon's point of view that thesymbolic core of the novel is disclosed.
