One of the strategies is the ligand substitution using others withsimilar shape and size or using the same backbone structures with different functionalizationsattached to it. Among their different properties, their adsorption behavior could change, aspore size and distribution and the analyte-MOF interactions can be different. In this work, different multicomponent MOFs based on zirconium(IV) metal clusters and three differentligands were synthesized and tested for analytical applications regarding benzophenoneadsorption from an aqueous solution.
