AB In this research we wanted to know the state of the question in respect of theperception of gender in relation to the learning and teaching of Social Sciences. To achievethis, we sought the opinions of teachers of both GCSE and Baccalaureate levels in history,geography and history of art, using a questionnaire as the quantitative instrument. Theinvestigation focussed on ascertaining the actual extent to which this subject was encounteredwithin the classroom. That is, whether it is a situation where the institutional elements are aconcept of the bureaucratic machine, or if it is a reality which has emerged within society thathas transferred into education.
