K1 Tecnologías de la información y la comunicación K1 Motivación en la educación K1 Aprendizaje cooperativo K1 Enseñanza secundaria AB This project focuses on the integration of Information and CommunicationTechnologies (ICT) in the classroom as an effective method to improve the teaching andlearning process in Secondary Education. The truth is that students’ lack of motivationhas been one of the main problems in education. For this reason, the principal purpose ofthis project is to investigate if it is possible to foment their motivation and involvementin the learning process, specifically in the subject of English as a foreign language, byusing one of the most recognised didactic strategies: webquests. In this particular case,the activity has been implemented in one classroom of the 4th year of secondary educationcomposed by 24 students at La Milagrosa School. Subsequently, the investigation hasbeen completed through the elaboration of a survey in order to know the participants’opinion about the methodology that has been used. Both the webquest and the survey’sresults have been positive and useful to confirm that webquests contribute to enrich the 2learning process of a foreign language, to promote cooperative work and to acquire thekey competences that are established in the subject curriculum.
