AB Key competencies have rethought the way we approach teaching and learning outcomes, which should be selected to achieve them and be oriented functional and practical way. In this context, the model based on competencies has required different approaches in Physical Education; the teacher must understand the competencies and develop them in his usual performance. However, research findings have demonstrated that this curricular element seems unknown in schools and dominates the lack of training. Consequently, this paper aims to be an educational tool for teaching Physical Education. To this objective, it is conceptualizedon key competences in the subject and the role played by physical education for development through normative and expert analysis.
