Los nuevos retos para la intervención psicopedagógica en los estudios superiores

Abstract

El Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior supone, entre otras cosas, una nueva estructuración de las enseñanzas universitarias, una modificación en las metodologías docentes y otra manera de proyectar el aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Este proceso de cambio repercutirá en las formas de abordar la atención del alumnado con necesidades especiales y los servicios de apoyo existentes deberán replantear sus funciones, su organización y sus prestaciones. Es por ello que en este artículo se hará primero un breve recorrido por los orígenes de estos servicios y la legislación, profundizando después en los principios que sustentan —o deberían— su intervención psicopedagógica. Los retos de futuro teniendo en el punto de mira el horizonte europeo se tratan al final para seguir adelante con el cambio progresivo que plantea la atención a la diversidad en los estudios superiores.

The European Higher Education Area means, that among other things, a new structure of the university teaching, a change in the teaching methodologies and another way to project students learning. This changing process will affect in the ways to deal with the attention to students with special needs and the existing support services should be reconsider their function and its organization as well. First of all in this article a brief summary of the origins of these services and legalization will be given, then to go more deeply into the principles that sustain —or should- their psychopedagogical intervention. The future challenges of the European horizons are considered at the end of the article to continue with a progressive change that raises the diversity of higher education.
