This Project describes the design, calculation and develop of two different wirings
located in Tenerife South Airport, specifically in the down right corner of parking, one of
the zones were usually rent a car companies operate. The location selected provides the
ideal environmental conditions to generate energy due to irradiation level and amount
of sunlight hours per day.
One of them is a photovoltaic wiring that take the capacity to generate energy up to
12 kW to sell it to local electric distributor company at current market price. With this
renewable energy system, airport manage company wins an input amount of money that
helps to decrease the overall billing in concept of energetic consumption.
Other is a charging point to provides energy for electric vehicles. This one is
compounded about four chargers with 7,4 kW per each one. It is necessary that both
wirings were separates according to new Spanish legislation.
From economic point of view, the owner company also will receive payments from
rent a car companies that use the chargers. That means an increasing of project viability
due to energy consumption in points and photovoltaic generation will turn into money.
