Análisis económico-financiero del sector canario del transporte de mercancías por carretera durante los años 2012-2018

Abstract

El presente trabajo investiga el sector del transporte canario de mercancías por carretera, durante el período comprendido entre los años 2012 y 2018, observando su evolución tras el fin de la crisis económica. Además, se persiguen objetivos específicos tales como determinar la influencia de pertenecer a una provincia u otra del archipiélago y realizar una comparación con el ámbito nacional. Para ello, se lleva a cabo un análisis económico-financiero de las cuentas anuales agregadas de una muestra representativa de empresas, estudiando los principales indicadores que arrojan luz sobre los cambios en la estructura patrimonial y rendimiento de las empresas. En definitiva, hemos observado que el sector canario evolucionó positivamente con niveles superiores a la media nacional, presentando, en ambos niveles equilibrio financiero, así como solvencia y liquidez suficientes para hacer frente a las deudas contraídas. Asimismo, presentan mejores resultados las empresas pertenecientes a la provincia de S/C de Tenerife.

The present work investigates the Canarian road freight transport sector, during the period from 2012 to 2018, observing its evolution after the end of the economic crisis. In addition, specific objectives are pursued such as determining the influence of belonging to one province or another in the archipelago and making a comparison at the national level. To this end, an economic and financial analysis of the aggregate annual accounts of a representative sample of companies is carried out, studying the main indicators that shed light on changes in the asset structure and performance of the companies. In short, we have observed that the Canary Islands sector evolved positively with levels that are higher than the national average, presenting, at both levels financial balance, as well as sufficient solvency and liquidity to face the debts that have been contracted. The companies belonging to the province of S/C of Tenerife also present better results.
