Análisis de la actitud del alumnado de 1.º y 2.º de la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria y de la percepción hacia el profesorado de la asignatura de Educación Física

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación fue indagar sobre la actitud del alumnado de la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (ESO) hacia el docente y el área de Educación Física. Basándonos en la revisión de la literatura de diferentes instrumentos utilizados y autores se escogieron dos cuestionarios: la Escala de actitud del alumnado en clase de EF (EAAC) y el Cuestionario de la actitud percibida por el alumnado del profesor en clase de EF (CAAP), validados por Ortega et al. (2008), con el fin de analizar los efectos de dichas conductas. Se analizó una muestra a 41 estudiantes entre 12 y 15 años (21 varones y 20 mujeres), correspondiente a los cursos de 1.º y 2.º de ESO, realizando un estudio descriptivo y utilizándose como variables independientes el género del alumnado y el curso. Resalta entre los resultados encontrados que la actitud hacia la EF y el profesorado es positiva respecto a los diferentes cursos y género y esto viene precedido muchas veces por el rol que presenta el profesor a la hora de impartir la materia de EF. Por otro lado, se observó que en el curso inferior el clima en el aula era peor que en curso superior y esto puede influenciar negativamente en la conducta del alumnado. Se concluye, subrayando que el docente tiene un papel muy importante en su labor para favorecer la actitud del alumnado y que este se presente motivado y capaz de alcanzar sus objetivos.

The main objective of this research work has been develop in order to explore the attitude of obligatory secondary education (ESO) students in this area, the physical education. To carry out this research and based on the literature review of different authors and instruments used, two questionnaires were obtained: one of them related to the Student Attitude Scale in the PE class (EAAC), and another one related to the attitude perceived by the students towards the teacher in the PE class (CAAP), validated by Ortega et al. (2008). Both of them in order to analyze the effects of such behaviors. We have carried out a study of a sample of 41 students between 12 and 15 years of age (21 boys and 20 girls), corresponding to the 1st and 2nd years of ESO, performing an analysis about the main components onwhich we have applied a descriptive study using student gender and grade level as independent variables. Among the results found, we must highlight that the attitude towards PE and the teacher is positive compared to other courses and genders, and this is preceded on several occasions by the role of the teacher when teaching the subject of PE. On the other hand, it was observed that the classroom climate in the lower grades was worse than in the upper grades, this can have a negative influence on student behavior. It concludes, emphasizing that the teachers has a fundamental role to play to promote the attitude of students and to ensure that they are motivated and able to achieve their goals.
