La formación en TIC en el Grado en Maestro/a en Educación Infantil: una visión del alumnado de cuarto curso

Abstract

Teaching training process in the field of Information and Communication Technologies, within the academic scope, plays an essential role since its practices in the classroom will be reflected through the acquired knowledge and digital competencies. The realization of this Master’s Thesis aims to offer a vision of the training reality in ICT along the Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education by his students. For this study, a group of fourth grade of that degree has been selected at the University of La Laguna. The availability and perception of the students has been considered in this quantitative research throughout their formative period, proceeding later, to perform the analysis and categorization of the data to achieve the aims established, which are to know the ICT training that is offered in that degree, as well as to find out the opinion of the students on their training process in ICT. In consecuence of the technological advances and application in the formal scope, the future teachers have had to adapt their teaching methods and look for strategies that allow them to share knowledge with children in early childhood education to enhance the different competences through ICT.

El proceso de formación docente en el ámbito de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación, dentro del ámbito universitario, juega un papel fundamental. La realización de este Trabajo de Fin de Máster pretende ofrecer una visión de la realidad formativa en TIC a lo largo del Grado en Maestro/a en Educación Infantil, por su alumnado. Para este estudio, se ha seleccionado un grupo de cuarto curso de dicho grado de la Universidad de La Laguna. En esta investigación cuantitativa se ha tenido en cuenta la disponibilidad y percepción de los/as estudiantes durante toda su etapa formativa, procediendo posteriormente, a realizar el análisis y categorización de los datos para alcanzar los objetivos propuestos, que son el conocer la formación en TIC que se oferta en dicha titulación, así como averiguar la opinión del alumnado sobre su proceso formativo en las TIC. Como consecuencia de los avances tecnológicos y aplicación en el ámbito formal, los futuros docentes han tenido que adaptar sus métodos de enseñanza y buscar estrategias que les permitan compartir el conocimiento con los niños y niñas de Educación Infantil para potenciar las diferentes competencias mediante las TIC.
