| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | In this article, we will concentrate on analysing the definition, proposed by Samuel Gili Gaya in his Curso Superior de Sintaxis Española (Advanced Course of Spanish Syntax) (1961), of the concept of ‘sentence,’ with the aim of establishing the link that exists between the most traditional, and other more recent theories, like textual approaches, as well as contributions from diverse perspectives and, to a certain extent, co-existent (formalist, functionalist, etc.). From the study of Gili Gaya’s theory, its approach and the sources, in the central part of the article we set out how authors of the second half of the 20th century have received these theories and how they have adapted them to their respective approaches. Our initial theory is the consideration that Gili Gaya’s contribution, not conditioned by school restrictions, can be a point that links the most traditional approaches with contributions most in agreement with the proposals of the late 20th century. | en |
